The most beautiful thing in this picture is not the flowers or mountains.
This was taken during an early morning drive through Glacier NP.
After lunch we hiked the 12 mile Grinnell Glacier Trail to check out the Grinnell Glacier. The trail is described as "moderate." I thought we were in decent shape. The glacier has lost 40% of its acreage in the last 50 years and is predicted to be gone in the next 15.
Our view for lunch at the Many Glacier Hotel with a side of Swiftcurrent Lake, Mt. Grinnell on the left and Mt. Wilbur on the right.
On the way to Many Glacier, Esther had to dip her toes in Lake Sherburne.
The Glacier NP fire started the last day we were there. This photo was taken about 5 miles east of the fire.
Montana has nice buttes.
